Queenie Slot Review
Slots Basic information
Software: Pragmatic Play
Wild Symbol: Yes
Scatter Symbol: No
If you don’t yet know your way around a set of slot reels, then let us help you out.
Stakes per spin are determined by you. When you choose the number of coins per line and coin value, the game will calculate the total bet for you. The maximum amount permitted is 125 Euros/GBP but then again, that’s more than enough anyway. We’re not all royally minted like Queenie herself!
Clicking on the button on the far left allows you to adjust such things as the ambience music but if you’re not that fussed, you don’t need to adjust anything.
As per usual, the card symbols are low-value symbols and aren’t worth much.
Of greater value are the ones inspired by Alice in Wonderland. So, the pocket watch, the crown, the Mad Hatter’s hat, the white rabbit, and the of course, Queenie herself. She’s worth 2-10x your bet when getting five of her.
The big red heart does two separate things. Appearing on reels 2,3 and 4 it acts as the Wild substituting for other symbols. But it also triggers the Wheel of Fortune, as we’ll see just now.
Tips and Strategy
Playing at the right stake for you is very important. Playing for very small stakes allows you to get to grips with the game and given this is an extremely volatile slot, if you go on a bad run, you won’t lose all your money in one session.
But it’s worth knowing that there are two good consequences to playing for slightly bigger stakes. The first is that any base game or free spins will be much greater because they’re determined by your stake per spin.
But your stake also affects how much you’re playing for on the different Jackpots. The greater your stake per spin, the more is up for grabs across the different Jackpots.
Let’s talk hearts. Big, red hearts.
Each time one of them appears on the reels, you could be in business. It randomly triggers the Wheel of Fortune, though it’s only fair we say that it doesn’t happen that often, so patience may be required.
When the Wheel is triggered, it will eventually stop on one of these features.
– A money reward worth 8-200 times the total bet.
– A random multiplier of x2 to x100 applies to the total win of the spin.
– A random number of wilds were added to the screen on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5.
– Jackpot feature triggers.
– Free spins trigger.
The first three are self-explanatory, and the last two need explanations. If it’s the Jackpot feature triggered, Jackpot symbols will be revealed one by one until you have three of the same. You’ll then get the corresponding Jackpot awarded to you.
Goes without saying that the Grand one is the one you really want. Occasionally a Boost Card is revealed and when that happens, you could get a far bigger Jackpot payout than usual.
The last thing you can land on is the free spins.
The exact number you get will depend on how many are given to you on the Wheel because it can vary. Free spins operate the same way as they do on the base game, with one very notable and important exception. In this round any appearance of a Wild symbol triggers the Wheel to appear again. And if when spinning it you land on free spins, then free spins are what you’re going to get, all over again. Not that you should be complaining.
This isn’t the most complex or complex-looking slot you’ll ever see.
But no matter. The symbols are cool and bright and the appearance of that giant red heart in the center of the reels is always a welcome sight. There are some cool animations that pop up when you secure a big win and Queenie’s smirk is worth seeing, too.
A reminder that this is a highly volatile slot and we all know what that means. If you don’t, it means that it’s a rather dangerous game! And by that we mean you could win a lot, but you could also lose quite quickly if you don’t get the rub of the green. Away from that, it’s a great little game covering the well-trodden path of Alice in Wonderland-inspired slots. But of course, what it’s really about is that Wheel of Fortune, where so many great rewards are on offer. Trigger that a few times and Queenie will have to pay you out big time from the royal coffers!
